Daydreaming . . .

I think I have found the tattooist I would like to get work by, yay! I just need to send an email to see when and what I can get done . . . but I feel kinda silly because I dont have a specific design that I want, I just know the kind of things I like. I have been putting this email off for weeks . . . silly I know! Any advice from you fellow tattooed ladies? Do you always know exactly what you want? or are you happy to let the tattooist come up with something if you know they are the right person for the job?

I usually send a few reference pics and a rough discription. I trust my current tattooists 100% so am always happy with what they draw up.

It may be worth meeting up with the tattooist first and having a chat, see if you get on. It's much easier to say no if you dont like what they draw up, if you are acquainted.

good luck!x

Thank you! I thought I best email first as the shop is all the way down in brighton, but meeting up first sounds like a good plan especially as this will be my first tattoo eek! x

oh thats the artist my boyfriend wants a sleeve done by, but we're in Australia, so will have to wait till we visit the uk.
I personally gave my current tattoo artist lots and lots of pictures, sketches and described in detail what I wanted, and then crossed my fingers and hoped that they understood my vision. That's probably the hardest part about getting tattooed for me, the stress of wondering if they imagine what you do...
Good luck!! post pics when it's done :)

Awesome! what does he want to get done?
Yes it is so hard to put your thoughts across to another person . . . especially when you dont have an exact vision. I wish I could be really specific about what I want, but at the moment I just have ideas and a theme. I am looking forward to speaking to him and figuring something out. I will keep you all updated for sure :)
